don't be a hard rock when you really are a gem babygirl

(tfs, fashionroadkill)

1) beautiful Abbey Lee. love the pink hair/blue eyes/red lips combo.
2) Miu Miu's S/S '10 bird-print & jewel-encrusted platforms. i don't know, i feel like i should find these ugly, but i actually love them.
3) a look from Acne F/W '10 collection. it looks somewhat Avatar/Star Wars inspired, which i don't really care for, but YESSS please to the ankle cuffs/bangles/whatever. amazing. i love this idea.

dizzying new heights

i'm loving all these snakes everywhere lately. am i the only one who actually likes the Mcqueen shoes? they're so genius... it's unreal. like walking art. they might not be practical, but who really cares when you have ads & editorials that look like this? not to mention the bad romance video, which is like crack for my eyes.

next: Christian Louboutin for Crocs please...

Jimmy Choo has announced that in October 2010, they will release a collaboration line with the oh so stylish Ugg brand. i have two things to say here. one... yes i do actually wear Uggs whenever i'm running to the store a la sweats/no makeup. they are extremely warm and comfortable and can manage to look semi-cute ONLY with sweats. so yes, for such occasions, they come in handy. however... i absolutely LOATHE seeing them in summer with skirts or cut off denim shorts circa hillbilly-britney era. that just makes zero sense.

and on a second note, they are planning on selling these disastrous things for anywhere from $595 to $795.

blue crush

Okay, I'm having a major obsession with furs and thigh highs this fall.  My boots of choice are the leather Christian Louboutin thigh-highs (Taylor Jacobson wore a pair on a recent episode of The Rachel Zoe Project- i died.) & the Isabel Marant suede thigh-highs. They are absolutely breathtaking when done the right way... unless you're going for that whole Pretty Woman look.

I'm also sort of obsessing over Barbara Martelo. She works as a stylist for Vogue Espana, and it's not so much her work that I like, it's her killer personal style that I'm crazy about. All the best pants and leggings paired with the skinniest legs I've ever seen... I'm insanely jealous.
