banana pancakes

these are a few of the things i'm liking at the moment. as we enter the new year, i've noticed a few posts buzzing around the blogs about the best editorials/ad campaigns of the decade... i have to say this Alberta Ferretti ad was & is definitely one of my favorites. just the sheer genius of it, it's beautiful. not to mention shot by steven meisel, who is a genius.


next is the tom binns necklace. i could stare at it for hours. to take diamonds and pearls, which are already a great mix, and throw in something as random as safety pins... blair waldorf meets 90's grunge.


we have the abbey lee editorial next, which i'm sure many of you have already came across... a lot of people are saying enough of abbey being topless, "we get it", but i think this is SO beautiful. anyone who can look that edgy while remaining so elegant at the same time has my vote.


this editorial, to be honest i don't remember where it came from or who it is, i love everything from the model to the location. (note to self: start making a lot of money in a short amount of time so i can afford a house with floor-to-ceiling windows.)


mk. need i say more? she looks like she rolled out of bed like that... effortlessly cool.


winter in new york city. sometimes i take it for granted, and i have to step back and realize how lucky i am to live in new york. hands down one of the most beautiful places in the world. it's odd to think how something so dirty and noisy and be so amazing, but i wouldn't trade it for anything. okay, except maybe paris, but that's it ;o)

disco heaven

hi everyone:o) i haven't blogged in a looong time. too long. i decided one of my new years resolutions would be to start updating more, and since i got a brand new laptop for christmas (thank god, it was pretty sad watching my old one collect dust), we'll see where it takes me. it's nice to have a place to put all my thoughts.

so let's see... for christmas, one of my gifts was this beautiful faux fur coat that my little sister got me (pictured above.) she originally got it for me in black, but it didnt fit quite right. when i went to exchange sizes, all they had left was this tan color, which i figured would probably go with more outfits anyway, and i fell in love with it then and there, in the middle of h&m. i feel somewhat carrie bradshaw circa '99:



and... i'm sure you will all learn very quickly about my fascination and somewhat creepy obsession with the beautiful edie:



some other mentionables were beautiful purple ankle booties, a black long sleeved lace top, of course my vera wang princess parfum ;o), and other various articles of clothing/beauty supplies.

p.s. i made my everyday starbucks run earlier today and did NOT receive a red cup! the holidays are officially over...
